We want to contribute
The global climate and biodiversity crisis threatens life and well-being on Earth. Immediate action is needed from businesses and governments to reduce emissions and biodiversity loss to achieve international climate and biodiversity goals.
We believe that business leaders and policymakers want to do their part to manage and protect natural resources sustainably, but lack the toolbox. Reducing climate impact and protecting biodiversity are complex issues that require a holistic approach, integrating economic, social, and cultural aspects.
We want to contribute to making that happen by engaging all relevant societal actors: legislators, business leaders, experts, innovators, and funding sources to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement them.
Who we are
We are a collective of professional individuals dedicated to a truly sustainable future, in which companies and organizations work in harmony with nature. We make up a multidisciplinary team, representing competencies that are required to solve complex problems. We are building a team of consulting colleagues, partners and associates that want to join us on the journey.
Our New York Office
In the US, we are established as Upstream Consulting Partners, owned by CEO Erik Lind Olsen and PRF.
Our Copenhagen Office
In Denmark, Upstream Partners is established and owned by PRF, with Jens Böhme as CEO.
Our role

Develop and share knowledge on problem areas, solutions, business models, and systemic changes.

Founded by Planetary responsibility Foundation
Upstream Partners is founded by Planetary Responsibility Foundation (PRF) in order to take action in rethinking how we do business and manage natural resources. This is done through consulting work supporting nature-positive and sustainable development.
Upstream Partners was founded in October 2024 with offices in Copenhagen and New York.
PRF has a mission to protect and preserve our planet’s nature and biodiversity and promote sustainable development. The foundation operates with a holistic mindset and mission-driven investments and returns are reinvested in the foundation’s work.
PRF’s returns of investment in Upstream Partners, will primarily be used for impact activities within the purpose of Upstream Partners.
